Operations Verification Specialist (OVS)

Alliance Background, LLC, a leading provider of quality background screening solutions for employers and non-profit volunteer organizations, is expanding our operations team and we are seeking an Operations Verification Specialist (OVS). The role of (OVS) provides administrative support to ensure that the company’s operational efficiencies are maintained and that client expectations are met.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Contacts entities for employment, educational, and personal verification.

  • Conducts online searches of public/private web resources.

  • Accurately enters verified information into our internal background screening application.

  • Process workflow in work queue and re-direct work as needed to ensure work is completed as promised to clients

  • Serve as backup to all operations staff as needed

  • Complete other tasks as assigned by management

  • Handles incoming calls from clients and/or candidates.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent. Some college or technical college is preferred.

  • 2+ years’ experience as a customer services representative is preferred.

  • Knowledge of background checks, pre-employment screening, and/or human resources.

  • Detail-oriented, resourceful, and skilled in problem-solving.

  • Experience working remotely preferred.

  • Ability to work independently and as a team member in a collaborative environment.

  • Must understand business/academic organizational structures

  • Must possess the ability to locate the correct source within organizations to obtain verification information.

  • Must have superior people skills, strong written and verbal communication skills and anability to listen and rapidly comprehend information while maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor.

  • Must be proficient using Internet search engines to discover and qualify missing or incomplete verification information.

  • Ability to work with other departments for the best solutions for the company and the client.

  • Demonstrated ability to work within company boundaries and resolve internal and external problems.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify problems, gather and evaluate information in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office and be competent in utilizing the Internet/Web
